Though globally renown, Jay-Z is perhaps most synonymous with his home state of New York.
It’s fitting then that he’s been tapped to re-open one of NYC’s most historic music venues – Webster Hall – with a special one-off gig.

It’s been announced that the Roc Nation mogul will play the ‘B-Sides 2’ show at Webster on April 26th:
The gig, which is billed as being for “Day 1 fans”, marks the first time Jay will play the venue.
It serves as a sequel to his 2015 inaugural ‘B-Sides’ show, which took place at Terminal 5. With both instalments, the overarching premise sees Jigga perform little-known gems from his vast catalogue.
A major coup for Webster, its CEO Brett Yormark said in a statement:
“When we were thinking about who would be the right choice to open this legendary venue, we knew it had to be a world-famous New York City icon. No one fits that description better than Jay-Z, who will join an unparalleled list of celebrated performers who have played Webster Hall.”
The news comes on the heels of Jay’s recent GLAAD Award honor for LGBTQ advocacy.
Tickets go on general sale on April 19th, with an AMEX presale taking place a day prior.
